Terms of Use

These terms govern use of Fannin County Criminal History. Accessing a page, reading its content, or submitting a search means you accept the conditions below. Do not continue to use the website if you disagree with them. These terms are effective August 9, 2026.

NO FCRA USE. This privately owned website has no affiliation with a local, Texas, or federal agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service intended for credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site helps visitors locate Fannin County and Texas criminal-record sources. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operated independently of government. We do not hold official criminal records, obtain records for visitors, conduct official background checks, or submit documents on anyone's behalf.

Its purpose is to identify custodians and access routes, including the Fannin County Sheriff, court clerks, Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors with outside search providers.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of access, you agree not to:

  • Use the website in violation of federal, Texas, or local law
  • Stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass another person with information found here
  • Use site content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Gain or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against these pages
  • Interfere with performance or prevent others from using the service

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this website or a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. That ban is especially important for Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Texas DPS warns that misuse against a registrant or family may lead to criminal prosecution or civil liability. Registry data serves public safety awareness, not vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners are not presented as services for FCRA-regulated decisions. You must not use information from this website or a linked tool to:

  • Make employment decisions
  • Evaluate housing or tenant applications
  • Set insurance eligibility or terms
  • Assess credit or lending eligibility
  • Make another decision regulated by the FCRA

A legally authorized FCRA purpose requires an appropriate official or FCRA-compliant process, not this website or its general-reference content.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General explanations of Fannin County records cannot determine how a charge, warrant, conviction, expunction, or nondisclosure law affects a specific person. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is." We make no promise that:

  • Information will always be current, complete, or accurate
  • Outside search results will be complete or correctly matched
  • The website will remain uninterrupted
  • Every page will be free from errors or security defects

Charges, dispositions, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders can change what is available. Delays and gaps are possible. Nothing published here is an official statement by a court, the Sheriff, Texas DPS, or another government office.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government portals, the Sheriff, courts, Texas agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. We do not control a destination's content, availability, charges, or data practices. Its own terms apply after you leave this website.

8. Intellectual Property

Fannin County Criminal History or its content partners own the website's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, alter, distribute, or create derivative material from that content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses or damages arising from use of this website, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms, including related legal costs and fees.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms, and disputes connected with website use must be brought in a court located in Texas. The Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, governs public access requests to governmental bodies, not this private operator. Government Code Chapter 411 governs dissemination of Texas criminal-history record information by authorized custodians and does not make site content an official criminal-history product.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms. A revision becomes effective when posted here with its applicable date. The current effective date is August 9, 2026.

13. Cutting Off Access

We may suspend or end access at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be limited only as much as necessary to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
