Official Fannin County criminal records must come from the government office that keeps them. This private site cannot retrieve, change, or certify a record. The contacts below route arrest and booking requests to the Sheriff, misdemeanor matters to the County Clerk, felony files to the District Clerk, and statewide criminal-history requests to Texas DPS.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately operated resource cannot obtain official criminal histories, correct or remove a record, conduct an official background check, or receive an expunction filing. Contact the government custodian directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the Fannin County record type. County and District Clerk public counters are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the current county pages:

  • Arrest, booking, jail, and Sheriff records: Fannin County Sheriff, 2375 Silo Road, Bonham, TX 75418; 903-583-2143. Written Texas Public Information Act requests use the county PDF form and go as a PDF attachment to piarequest@fanninco.net, or by mail or delivery to the Criminal District Attorney's Office, 800 E. 2nd Street, Suite 200, Bonham, TX 75418.
  • Misdemeanor court records: Fannin County Clerk Criminal Department, 101 E. Sam Rayburn Drive, Suite 101, Bonham, TX 75418; 903-583-8502; fax 903-583-9598; Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Felony court records: Fannin County District Clerk, 200 E. 1st Street, Bonham, TX 75418; 903-583-7459; dcrecords@fanninco.net; Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Document and information requests must be in writing.
  • Statewide criminal histories: contact the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division for the public conviction name search or a personal FAST fingerprint review.
  • Police and incident reports: ask the law-enforcement agency that created the report. The County Clerk does not keep police reports.
  • Expunction and nondisclosure filings: file through the court and clerk with jurisdiction over the matter under Texas law.

Call before traveling when a particular staff member or record retrieval is needed. Fannin County says many records are stored off site, and the responsible department must retrieve the actual file.
